After we receive a referral from your child’s primary care provider, our office will send you the intake paperwork to complete online. Once the paperwork is submitted, we will schedule an initial visit for a comprehensive developmental and behavioral health assessment.

During that first appointment, we gather information about your child’s development, behavior, medical history, and family concerns so we can determine the next best step. If autism testing is needed, we will schedule a separate testing visit.

Autism testing visits may take up to 2.5 hours so we can complete a thorough evaluation. About 1 to 2 weeks after the testing visit, we will schedule a follow-up appointment to review the findings with you, explain the results in plain language, and discuss the referrals and treatment recommendations that may help your child.

We will also notify your child’s primary care provider of the developmental assessment findings so your child’s care team stays informed and coordinated.
